AshleyBands Weekly - October 11, 2026

Hello everyone!

What a day at White Oak! We swept 3A - first place in drum major, color guard, percussion, general effect, music and overall 3A. We placed sixth out of every band there, ahead of all of the 4A bands. Percussion was fifth overall for the day, color guard third and drum major second.

Big week ahead for the Ashley Bands - Homecoming, our closest marching competition, and the Fall Concert.

Homecoming - Friday, October 16

The band marches in the Homecoming parade at 6:00 p.m., then performs at the game against New Hanover, kickoff 7:00 p.m. Former Ashley band students, come back and play with us! Bring your instrument - you're more than welcome to join us in the stands for the evening.

Pirate Classic at Topsail - Saturday, October 17

Ashley performs at 1:45 p.m. at Topsail High School, 245 N. St. Johns Church Road in Hampstead. It's an easy drive, and Hoggard and Laney perform the same day. Awards are at 8:30 p.m. Tickets: topsailbands.com/pirate-classic.

Fall Concert - Thursday, October 22

7:00 p.m. at Minnie Evans Arts Center.

Carnegie Hall
