General Information

Google Calendar - The Official Band Calendar

The Google Calendar is the source of truth for all band events. Always assume the Google Calendar is correct if there is a date conflict.

My Music Office

Every student and at least one parent must have an active account in My Music Office (MMO). MMO is used to manage student information, communication, instrument and music databases, payments, and booster records for the Ashley High School Bands.

Google Chat

Students receive invitations to their class-specific chats through their school-managed NHCS student accounts. Google Chat functions like a secure school messaging system, and all messages are archived and viewable by NHCS personnel.

Required Items

Instrument

• Personal instruments: case labeled with student name and instrument serial number
• Rental instruments: available through Music & Arts, 2340 S. 17th Street, Wilmington, NC, (910) 791-4799
• School-owned instruments: available as inventory allows
• Marching band instruments: available as inventory allows
• Percussion: snare sticks, practice pad and stand, black hand towel

Clothing

• Concert attire: Musician Black
• Spirit wear / general attire: official Red Band Shirt and other program spirit wear

• 1-inch black 3-ring binder
• Sheet protectors
• Pencil pouch
• Pencils

• Tuner/metronome: TM-60/CM-200 combo provided; TM-70/CM-400 recommended to own

Band Methods

• Foundations of Superior Performance (FSP), correct book for the student's instrument
