The whole show is on the field, our first competition at White Oak, and Carnegie Hall.
Hello everyone!
Saturday was a great day. Even with rain in the forecast, we got the whole show on the field, props and all. Thank you to all of the parent volunteers who built props, served lunch and kept the day running.
Come see us at White Oak - Saturday, October 10
Our first competition of the season is the White Oak Band Classic at White Oak High School, 1001 Piney Green Road in Jacksonville. Ashley performs at 4:30 p.m., and awards are at 9:00 p.m. We would love to see you in the stands!
Carnegie Hall
Ashley Bands are going to Carnegie Hall. If you'd like to help, you can give at ashleybands.com/support-carnegie. Gifts go to the group, so each one lowers the cost for every student on the trip. If you own a business or know someone who does, here is our Business Sponsor Brief.
Looking ahead
- Friday, October 16 - Homecoming: The band marches in the parade, then performs at the game against New Hanover, kickoff 7:00 p.m. Former Ashley band students, come back and cheer us on!
- Saturday, October 17 - Pirate Classic at Topsail High School.
- Tuesday, October 20 - NHCS Marching Band Showcase at Hoggard High School.
- Thursday, October 22 - Fall Concert, 7:00 p.m., Minnie Evans Arts Center.
Community events
Wilmington Symphonic Winds: Fall concert, Sunday, November 1, 4:30 p.m., Kenan Auditorium at UNCW.
